How It Works

First things first. What is the cost?

The cost of content creation is 10 cents per word, including a call to action and cover photo. Your blog will be available to you in finished form, ready for you to publish or schedule.

How will I access my blog articles?

Because I already have administrative access to The Offer Company website, I can create your copy, with you as author, conveniently within The Offer Company WordPress site, where you will be able to access it when you are ready to publish. That saves you time on marketing so you can devote more time to your clients and prospects.

What will be the length of each blog?

Unless you request otherwise, each of your blogs will be a minimum of 300 words and a maximum of 400 words. The length will vary for each blog, but will remain within those parameters. This allows you to budget $30 to $40 per blog in determining how frequently you want to buy content.

What content will my blogs cover?

I will cover a variety of topics of interest to sellers and buyers, as well as topics of general interest to homeowners. Specific topic requests can be met, but will incur a premium of an additional 2 cents per word. If you would also like to include community-based general content, you will have the opportunity to request this when you receive your blogging services agreement after you have made your request for services.

Will all blogs for Offer Company agents be the same?

No, you are paying for content creation that will be unique to you for your individual website. This is a premium service compared to many other content creation services available at this price point. While obviously there will be crossover of real estate topics in general, each blog is individually created for each participating agent.

What happens once I submit my request for blogging services?

Once you have submitted your request for blogging services through this site, you will receive an automatically generated confirmation email. Within 48 hours, you will then receive further instructions via email on how to get started, including a services agreement for your review and signature. Your service agreement will spell out blog length, your desired frequency and the payment process.

Am I required to order a minimum number of blogs within a certain timeframe?

There is no minimum number of blogs required under the agreement for blog services.

How will I pay for my blog services?

Payment is due upon receipt and should be made through PayPal to LexingtonBusinessMedia@gmail.com. Your invoice will include an online payment button. You can also pay through the payment button at the bottom of this page. Agents who do not wish to pay via PayPal can inquire about alternative means of payment. You will be provided a receipt once your payment is made. Late fees are incurred if payment is not made within 7 days of your invoice. Penalties for late payments are spelled out in your agreement for services.

Can I use my blog content for other purposes, such as email marketing?

Yes, the rights to your content belong to you. You may use the content in other areas of your marketing as you see fit.

About Me

Lori Weaver, Writer and Real Estate Agent

Why should you choose me to write your real estate blog? For starters, you won't have to worry that I don't understand the industry.

That's because I am also a licensed real estate agent. And, while I live in the land of bourbon and horses rather than the sunny southwest, I have been writing content for your brokerage, The Offer Company, for a couple of years now. In that time, I've made it a point to stay on top of your real estate market as well as all the local situations (pandemic, anyone?) that help to shape it. Through creating community-based content, I've come to learn about your neighborhoods and all that your city has to offer.

As a real estate agent, I worked exclusively for a builder for a number of years, but have also done resale and investment properties. A serious medical issue in 2018 forced me to the sidelines, but with my broker-business partner, I still actively practice real estate here in the Bluegrass at a locally owned boutique brokerage.

Equally important for you are my other professional writing credentials. A dairy farm girl and Wisconsin native, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in journalism, where I was a writer for the University's press corp.

In addition to my own online content business, my career history includes a number of professional communications roles, including executive positions in communications and marketing, as well as editorial roles, domestic and abroad. I have ghostwritten for several companies you may be familiar with in addition to The Offer Company, including DotLoop, RealtyBizNews and Adobe.

In 2010, I left the frozen tundra of the Upper Midwest for the beautiful city of Lexington, where I currently make my home and where I also met my husband. I have four daughters in varying stages of becoming productive young adults. My boxador, MJ, is my spirit animal and biggest fan.
